About Us HRAF
Hebraic Roots Aviv Fellowship
We are a Biblical Community rooted in Faith, Authority and the leading of the Ruach haKodesh/Holy Spirit. HRAF is dedicated to personal growth, liberation, spiritual development, consecration, and empowering individuals and families through adherence to Yehovah's Word. We hold that the journey of transformation and deliverance is ongoing, nurtured by obedience, worship, dedication, consecration, and a lifelong commitment to fulfilling Yehovah's will for our lives and destinies.
We are not rabbinical as we are not under the authority of the rabbis in Judaism because we do not follow the **Takkanot**. Takkanot means laws in addition to or subtraction from the Torah to suit the times according to rabbinical law. Takkonot is the addition and subtraction to The Holy Scriptures written in the Bible, which violates the following scriptures:
- Deuteronomy 4:2-5
- “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of יהוה (YeHoVah) your Elohim which I am commanding you.
- Deuteronomy 12:32
- “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it.
- 2 Kings 17:19
- Yehuḏah, also, did not guard the commands of יהוה their Elohim, but walked in the laws of Yisra’ěl which they made.
- Isaiah 29:13
- And יהוה says, “Because this people has drawn near with its mouth, and with its lips they have esteemed Me, and it has kept its heart far from Me, and their fear of Me has become a command of men that is taught!
- Proverbs 30:6
- Do not add to His Words, Lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.
- Matthew 5:17-18
- “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets.e I did not come to destroy but to complete. “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
- Matthew 15:1-9
- Then there came to יהושע scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying, “Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim because of your tradition? “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition. “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ ”
- Mark 7:6-7
- And He (Yeshua) answering, said to them, “Well did Yeshayahu (Isaiah) prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.
- Luke 16:17
- “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.
- Revelation 22:18-19
- For I witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.
We are not trying to be "Jewish". However, we are similar to the Karaite Jews that only follow the written word. What a blessing it has been to learn and participate in the Feasts and Festivals of Yehovah and to keep HIS Sabbath rest. Much Shalom (Peace) has been granted to us for our obedience to HIS Word.
Why we left Christianity, at different times in our lives, we found inconsistencies in the practices of Christianity. These unbiblical practices are what led us to do some research of our own. We prayed and asked very specific questions, and the answers we received were very specific as well. This led us away from Christianity, not the other side, which is Judaism, but to a Messianic/Hebraic Roots approach that more closely resembles following what is written in the Word of Yehovah and following in the footsteps of Yeshua/Jesus. We believe in keeping the whole Bible cover to cover.
Let us ask you. "When you read the scriptures above do you think God cares if we follow and or change His instructions? Do you think it's okay to practice anything anyhow or in any way that you want and then say you're doing it for him because "He knows my heart" or "That isn't what it means to me"? We asked these very same questions of ourselves and then we asked Yehovah in Yeshua's name. The answers we received are what led us to where we are in our walk today. We could quote many more verses here, but instead, we want to encourage you to make a list and go in prayer, asking specific questions so you get specific answers.
If you don't know how or what to pray for, or if you need more help, just contact us. We love to pray for everyone and every situation.
Join us in reading The Word of Yehovah, following the sinless example of Yeshua/Jesus, and allowing the Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit to teach the truth.

Narrow Gate & Path is Wide
Which Will You Choose?
Let's explore Yeshua/Jesus Words in Matthew 7:13-14
Matthew 7:13 “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.
Matthew 7:14 “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed (a) which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Footnote: a "Or the way is afflicted".
Now imagine a two-lane road separating the two lanes with a solid white line. We know the solid white line tells us both lanes lead in the same direction. The lane on the right represents Judaism, and the lane on the left represents Christianity. Now, imagine a ditch on both sides of the lanes. The ditches represent the lost, broken-hearted, those afflicted, addicts, prostitutes, adulterers, liars, murderers, etc. Now imagine that up ahead, the road continues but has two gates. Yeshua said that the wide gate leads to destruction. Following the white line in the middle of the road leads you to the small, narrow, glowing gate that leads to life everlasting.
Are you getting the picture? Can you answer these questions?
- Do you know what represents the white line?
- Do you have an understanding of what Yeshua/Jesus taught?
- What is Christianity missing?
- What did Judaism miss?
- What did Yeshua/Jesus say we must do?
- Do you love Yeshua/Jesus more than anything else?
- Are you willing to empty yourself of everything false according to the actual word of Yehovah?
- Are you willing to empty yourself of everything that is not TRUTH?

- Are you worthy of Yeshua/Jesus?
- Do you know Yeshua/Jesus or just of him?
- Does Yeshua/Jesus know you?
- What must you do so that you know Yeshua/Jesus and he knows you?
- Are you sure you have found all the secrets hidden in the parables of Yeshua/Jesus?
